WARG’s 2010 excavation—St. Cross, Winchester
WARG was once again entrusted with the task of excavating next to the Almshouses and Hospital in St. Cross Park this summer, between July 31st and August 14th.

During the excavations, your webmaster provided regularly updated reports showing progress in the trenches, and getting down and dirty with the diggers (see the Webmaster’s Diary links above). There were exciting finds again this year, even though the excavations were scaled down to smaller trenches — less grunt work and more detail.
